How Horsemen's United is Handling COVID-19 Issues

These are trying times for all of us. We understand the urge to get outside and do what we love most. However, liability insurance is predicated on following existing law. If state, local, or national cancellation orders apply, your club is expected to follow those orders. Noncompliance can have adverse effects on insurance coverage.

What to do if you have to cancel an event:
Notify Horsemen’s United Association via email (preferable) or phone. If there has been an endorsement issued for the event, it can be cancelled, or changed to reflect rescheduling. If cancelled, you will be refunded for the endorsement ($95 or $75). Membership dues are considered fully earned at the time you join or renew, so your dues cannot be refunded.

Does our insurance cover communicable diseases?
No. This has always been specifically excluded from our coverage.

If you haven’t renewed your membership for 2021:
Although we usually close renewals in June or July, we will take renewals throughout 2021. If you want to wait to see if your season will happen, we understand! Just give us a couple of weeks before your first event is scheduled to get your paperwork in order.
